Walk in her shoes

During April I will be taking part in Care Internationals event 'Walk in her shoes'.

I'm taking part in this challenge as a way of supporting women and girls that live in developing countries, who from as young as 3 have spent their days walking to fetch water for their family. 

I will be walking 5 miles for 7 days, hoping to raise as much money for this charity as possible. I'm hoping to raise money to help provide safe water, that will be located closer to the families that currently have to trek for miles every single day. 

Please help by giving whatever you can, no matter how small the amount, anything will help make the difference that truly needs to be made. 

Compared to these women I feel extremely lucky. My life isn't overshadowed and restricted by a basic human need for food and water, why should theirs be?

Earth Hour

EARTH HOUR

"It's not about which country you're from, it's about what planet we're from." 

Earth hour has arrived and it's time to switch off and get involved! 

WWF's Earth Hour first started back in 2007, when the first ever event took place in Sydney, Australia, and by 2008 the word had spread, resulting in the UK getting involved for the first time, alongside 371 cities and towns in more than 35 other countries. Skip a few years to last year and a record breaking 162 countries took part, that means that over 3/4 of the world was in darkness…let's make this year the biggest year yet. Earth Hour is a global annual event that involves hundreds of thousands of people all across the world switching off their lights to show that they care for our planet.

Various events are going on all across the world, from a lights-out event at Niagara Falls to the World's largest Candlelit dinner in Finland and so much more.

There's so much that you can do for Earth Hour, from having a candlelit dinner party with friends to playing board games, building a fort, and even just gazing up at the stars.

This is our planet, it's time to show what it means to us.

Stillia

Yesterday I had the great pleasure of going down to The Red Lion located in Sutton, St Helens to photograph a band. The band in question was Stillia, a local and recently signed band whom are looking for a photographer to travel to their gigs across England and photograph them.

So naturally we went along, took some pictures and here's a little bit of what we got.

I wish the band all the best on all future endeavours and I hope to work with them in the future.
