Happy International Day of Happiness and First Day of Spring!

"Be happy for this moment. This moment is your life."
- Omar Khyyam

Happiness is the most important thing in life, it only seems right that we should have a day dedicated to it. Nothing in life is ever worth it if you're not happy, you should always make the changes necessary to ensure your happiness.

“Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy.”

You May Now Kiss The Bride...

On Friday the 5th September, I was asked to join a lovely couple on their wedding day as their photographer. The wedding took place in a small but beautiful reception room located in the St Helens Registry Office. This wasn't a large wedding but that didn't make it any less beautiful…

The room rose for the entrance of the beautiful bride who appeared linking arms with her father with tears of joy falling from her eyes. The whole atmosphere of the room completely changed, the room was filled with some of the biggest smiles I've ever seen.

The ceremony was beautiful and following this we moved onto another location where the bride and groom were to celebrate their wedding with a small selection of their family. Before they sat down to eat, we took the couple across the road to a spot that overlooked some beautiful rolling hills that were covered in fine mist, which provided the perfect backdrop for some beautifully taken wedding photographs.

Congratulations to the beautiful bride and groom and may the future hold happiness for you both

Day Two: Everyone deserves happiness

So I've been sitting here for a couple of hours with this blank screen staring back at me, struggling to think about what to blog about. That's the moment I began to search and I came across the #blogtemberchallenge so seeing as it is now the 2nd September I'm actually just going to skip day one and go straight onto day two which is all about being happy.

Sept 2nd: Write about what makes you happy, from the little joys to the huge game-changers.

What makes me happy…?
Blogging. Strawberry Milkshake. Mcfly. Red Lipstick.
Doctor Who. Sleeping in late.
Catchups with friends. Disney Films. Autumn.
Love. Photography. Burning Candles. Food. Musicals.
Dinner dates. Bubble Baths. Shopping. Gaming.
Tea. Xbox days. Being productive. Traveling. An ice cold glass of water.
Singing. Reading. Spending time with the family. Supernatural Marathons
Taylor Swift. Getting tattooed. Amazing gigs. Comic-con.

Happiness is something everybody searches for in their lives, no matter who they are, it's something everybody wants.

Sometimes the smallest things can make me happy, a song starting to play can brighten up my entire day.

Sometimes, when you're feeling really down, something can make you smile but doesn't necessarily make you happy, I guess a smile is halfway there but halfway really just isn't enough.

Family is a key part to what makes me happy, what kind of family would you have if they didn't make you happy? Not living at home means I don't get to see my mother and siblings as much as I would like to, but it kinds of makes it that bit more special when I do see them, I feel an intense amount of happiness when I do see them and nothing could break that. My family are my entire world, I'd not be who I am today and I would never trade them for the world. Everything I do in life is for my family, for my mother, to make her proud of me. I want my mum to look at me and feel overwhelming happiness because of how proud I have made her. I just love my family, if i had nothing else in the world, but still had my family, I would still be happy

Naturally, my boyfriend makes me happy too, which is good. Again, just seeing him can brighten up my entire day, but to be honest, he's family as well so of course he makes me happy.

Another person who can brighten up my day in a heartbeat is my bestest and dearest friend, but again, I class her as family aswell.

Family is the most important thing and family isn't just about who you're related too, it's who's there for you.

Thinking of the word "family" makes you really think. Blood makes you related, but loyalty makes you family

Happiness is something everybody deserves to feel, find what makes you happy and take advantage. If we don't have happiness, we don't have anything worth fighting for.

The Best Intentions

In a world that's not often the nicest to live in, one thing that we should always try and do in life is be the best we can be. That includes being the nicest person we could ever possibly be and always having the best intentions at heart. We should always try and spread a little bit of happiness around wherever we go because you never know who needs it.

I have always done everything in my power to be a good person, to always do the right thing and I have always made sure that everything I do it with the best intentions.

Sometimes I look around me and notice all of the cruelty and hate in the world and I wonder why I try to be a good person. So many people don't care about others. When you bump into someone in the street, do you apologise? Or do you snarl and walk away? Apologising is the decent thing to do, it's just common courtesy really. I realise that I am who I am and live how I do because being a good person costs nothing and it can really put your life into perspective.

Everyone in their life has probably hurt someone, some purposely and some believing they were doing the right thing. Purposeful hurt is a lot more painful than accidental. I'm so scared of hurting peoples feelings or doing wrong in life that I tip toe around everything, unfortunately, sometimes it cannot be helped.

People are sensitive, and you might not think it, but your actions can hurt someone a lot. Words can hurt, people take things to heart and that means you can hurt someone without realising.

I will continue to live my life being a good person, apologising when I do wrong.

Spreading happiness and living life with the best intentions could make you happier than anything else.

Life is better when you're laughing
