Chapter Two: February

Chapter Two: February

Hello there beautiful February, it's nice to see you. Can you believe that we're in February already? January has completely flew by!

I have to admit that after a very stressful beginning to January, but lovely end, I am quite happy to see February, I'm looking forward to seeing what delightfulness it brings my way.

January Goals

1. Prepare for the big move. I'm all moved in! Preparation for this took FOREVER, but I got it done, I got everything moved, and i got the house sorted. I'm so relieved.

2. Enjoy working. Nope, nope, and nope.

3. Celebrate my Birthday in style. I've had the most perfect Birthday ever this year, I have been completely spoilt.

4. Read 2 books. Check, and check! The Bazaar of Bad Dreams, and Girl online

5. Watch at least 25 films. We have watched way too many TV shows to even nearly complete this challenge. This month we managed to watch The Lost World: Jurassic Park, The Revenant, Acacia, From The Shadows, The 5th Wave, and Poltergeist. We're now going to have to try harder to watch more in February, but we did watch The Walking Dead season 5, Supernatural seasons 9, and 10, OZ season 6, American Horror Story season 4, Pretty Little Liars, season 6.

February Goals

1. Clear my overdraft. I've been stuck in a student overdraft for the past 4 years, and it's just to painful to think about. I'm nearly halfway to clearing it now though, and I'm hoping to get that done this month.

2. Shopping freeze. I need to begin to save, save, and save! There are so many things that I want to do, so many beautiful places I want to visit, and I really need to start saving so that we can live a wonderful life.

3. Read 2 books. I'm hoping to read at least 24 books this year, that's two a month, although I would love to surprise myself by completely annihilating that goal.

4. Watch 25 films. I love movies, but I want to make sure I watch as many as humanly possible, so this year I'm aiming to watch AT LEAST 300 films, hopefully a lot more.

5.  Enjoy working. Find a job that I truly enjoy. I know now more than most that I'm really not going to be able to work to my truest potential in a career that I just don't enjoy, I need to find a reason to look forward to getting up for work in the morning.

6. Be happy.

What have you got planned for February?

Goodbye February, Hello March: A reflection of the previous month and goal setting

I find it a little crazy that we've managed to find ourselves in March already, we're now a quarter of our way into 2015, maybe this is a good time to reflect on the year so far?

So far in 2015…
  • I have turned 21.
  • Moved in with my best friend.
  • Realised how much I have grown to dislike Media.
  • Found myself a little bit.
  • Met some new people.
  • Realised how much I enjoy writing.
  • Decided on some new life goals.
  • Started a bucket list.
  • Signed up for the walk in her shoes challenge 2015.
  • Started dating a wonderful guy.
  • Found new interests and hobbies.
  • Watched an unhealthy amount of Bones.
  • Started gaming on the xbox one.
  • Realised what I need to change about my life and myself to make myself a happier person.
  • Started blogging more.
  • Had a job trial.
  • Started to stress less.
  • Had a 10 hour Eastenders marathon.
  • Dip dyed my hair pink.
  • Burnt a lot of food.
  • Learnt new life skills.
  • Had the best Birthday party with the best people
  • Won every game of Monopoly I've played…and that's a lot of games.
  • Became closer with my best friend, something we never thought possible.
  • Grew apart from people, but grew closer to other.
  • Started writing a book.
I've had a good start to 2015 so far, it's been a little bit of a bumpy ride so far, but what else can I expect? Life isn't perfect, there are always going to be challenges and things for you to overcome, it's how you look at them and tackle them that helps decide what kind of person you are.

A lot of things have changed in my life over the past few months, including quite a lot of things in the month of February, I'm feeling a lot happier, which is amazing. I already feel quite motivated and inspired, it's such a wonderful feeling.

My dreams are mine and they are mine to make a reality, nothing will stand in my way when it comes to my biggest dream of all; becoming a writer.

I really look forward to the month of March, I have a really good feeling about this one, things are improving, things are changing and I'm feeling wonderful.

MARCH GOALS

  • Fix my sleeping pattern.
  • Wake up in time for the sunrise as often as I can.
  • Read 4 books.
  • Keep the house clean.
  • Try not to burn any food.
  • Work towards achieving my dreams.
  • Have 4 chapters of my book complete.
  • Blog every week.
  • End procrastination for good.
  • Disconnect from the world when working.
  • Split my time evenly between the things and people that matter.
  • Be happy.

I'm going to make March the best month yet, I'm so excited to see what the future holds, nervous, but excited and I look forward to sharing all my future experiences with you.

Until next time

xoxo

P.S. Nothing is worth it if you aren't happy.

Happy February!

When we first started 2015 I had planned on posting a lot more onto my blog, although you'll have to forgive me for the lack of posts during January, it was an extremely busy month.

I was aiming to post this on the 1st of February, unfortunately I managed to get a little sidetracked and quite clearly that didn't happen!

Last time I was here I spoke about getting a house with my best friend, it was quite an exciting time for us and guess what? It's finally happened! We have been living here for nearly a week and it's absolutely amazing. Everything about this is so surreal, we wake up some mornings and ask each other if this is real, because it's just too perfect to be real. Our little house is so much more perfect that I could have ever possibly dreamed it would be, it's our own little escape from the world, our own little den and I wouldn't want to share this experience with anyone else!

I think the craziest thing is that we have an entire house to ourselves, with no parents or siblings and it's completely crazy. We came up with this one rule, this rule being that as soon as you get to the top of the stairs you have to crawl or shuffle on your bum, there's no walking upstairs and you have to slide down the stairs ob your bum, it's great, right?

January, for us, was essentially the month of parties. For the entirety of 2014 we stayed sober, it was a great thing to do, but 2015 is much different. We're only a month into the year, but we've already created some wonderful memories.

Things change, but some feelings stay the same.

In January I celebrated my 21st Birthday. It was the moment I really stopped for a moment and had a look a round, the moment I really truly noticed how much had changed since the last time I took a good look at the world. In all honesty, this is the best moment (minus all of the uni stress, but I don't want to go into that right now) I'm now 21, living with my most favourite person in the world and I really feel like things are looking up!

Things are looking up, looking up (hey!)
There's magic everywhere you go
Strangers stop to say hello (hello, hello, hello)
So turn it up, turn it up (hey!)
As lout as you can make it go
'Cause love is on the radio.

I believe that pictures speak louder than words, so here's my month in pictures!

Until next time!

xoxo
