Tuesday, Sept. 6: Create a playlist. What you're listening to now, what encourages you, holiday favorites, etc.

Hey again! if you haven't already heard, I'm heading off to Rome shortly and I'm crazy excited. Unfortunately we're going to be flying from Gatwick in London, which means LOOOOONNNNGGG train journey down there, plus a long as hell wait until we actually fly out. I've been putting together a playlist to accompany me on this journey full of a wide variety of music and I'm here to share the best bits of my travel playlist with you!

Adele - While We Were Young

Demi Lovato - Cool For The Summer

Shinedown - Unity

McFly - Love is Easy

Justin Bieber - Love Yourself

Taylor Swift - Shake it off

Little Mix - Secret Love Son

Ed Sheeran - Thinking out Loud

George Ezra - Listen to the Man

One Direction - Perfect

Megan Trainer - No

Shawn Mendes - Stitches

So this is just a small selection of the music i plan on listening to whilst spending my time travelling to Rome, if i listed the entire playlist, I'd be here all day!

Are you going on holiday ?
What's in your travel playlist?

April Playlist

Music takes me to another world

April has been a pretty hectic month for myself, a lot of changes have been made and I've been extremely stressed. Music is one of my favourite ways of escaping the world, my way of completely throwing myself into a dream world and forgetting reality. Throughout April I've listened to a varied amount of different music, so I thought I'd share the playlist that has helped me get from where I was this time last month, to where I am today…enjoy!

1. Mcbusted - Love Me Like You Do

2. George Ezra - Listen To The Man

3. Taylor Swift - The Best Day

4. Olly Murs ft. Demi Lovato - Up

5. Mcfly - Love Is Easy

6. Taylor Swift - Shake It Off

7. 'N Sync - Bye Bye Bye

8. Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars - Uptown Funk

9. Christina Perri ft. Ed Sheeran - Be My Forever

10. Demi Lovato - BelieveIn Me

These musicians could get me through anything, I could listen to these 10 songs over and over again and never get bored. What's been stuck in your head throughout April?

Until next time xoxo

I Guess I Lost Track Of Time

Hey guys, It seems like forever ago that I last blogged on here, I've been absolutely swamped!

I went back to University last month and if you know me then you will know that I am now in my final year. I always knew that my final year was going to be the most stressful but, I didn't know I'd get swamped with work so soon…

I haven't really done much since we last spoke apart from University. I did get a new tattoo and dye parts of my hair pink though, which is fun.

I'll definitely make more of an effort to blog, even if it's just once a week, I promise.

So how have you guys been?

October's been pretty good for me so far, the other week my best friend and i spontaneously bought tickets to see The Vamps on the night of their Liverpool tour date and it was amazing! Do you like McFly? Did you like Busted? Well as everyone knows, they formed a supergroup (McBusted) and they recently released their first single as a band and it's just amazing, I highly recommend that you go and listen to it!

As well as this, Ed Sheeran recently released the music video for his single 'Thinking Out Loud' and it is absolutely beautiful, I'll let you take a look for yourself…

It's been a good month for music, I'm actually going to see Ed on the 28th October in Manchester with my best friend, I cannot wait, I've wanted to see him for far too long!

As well as this…Yes there's more music news! 5 Seconds Of Summer released their music video for their single 'Good Girls' It's amazing, I love it, it makes me want to rebel.

One last music related thing and then I will talk about something else. If you are a fan of Taylor Swift, you will know that her newest album '1989' is to be released on the 27/10/2014 and this week, tomorrow in fact, another song will be released from the new album, that song being 'Out Of The Woods'.

Whilst i am on the subject of Taylor Swift, I mentioned earlier that I did actually just recently get a new tattoo. Well, anyone who knows me will know of my love for Taylor, I've admired her for years, she's by far my favourite artist…ever! Well the tattoo I got was none other than the words 'Long Live' written on my wrist as a permanent reminder of my favourite ever song 'Long Live' I adore this tattoo, it's so beautiful and I am so glad I chose to get it.

There isn't much else to talk about really. Like I said, I am back in Uni now, so I'm rather busy with life, I've been spending a lot of time with my bestfriend which is just wonderful because she's like a sister to me.

Here's some pictures that describe my October so far!

Until next time!

Day Eight: Music Is My Everything

Sept 8th: Music that moves you. Are you a Spotify addict or a Pandora guru? Tell us your favorite artists/stations!

"Music touches us emotionally, where words alone can't."
- Johnny Depp

Music connects with every single individual, no matter who they are. A single song, or even lyric can remind you of a certain time in your life, whether it be a song that reminds you of past memories or certain lyrics that remind you of somebody in your life, somebody you once knew. We often use music to occupy our minds whilst going through our everyday life. Music can emotionally move us, for many of us music is used as a distraction, or a means of communication between strangers.

Music has always been a huge part of my life. Taking it as a subject in school helped me to understand it so much more than I ever dreamed I would.

"When you're down and lost, and you need a helping hand, when you're down and lost along the way, oh, just tell yourself, I'll, I'll be ok"

Although I'm only 20 years old, I have had some really rough times in my life and the one thing and probably only thing I have been able to count on to help me through is music, specifically McFly and Taylor Swift. Without these guys knowing it, they have been the biggest rock in my life, their music warms my heart in times of need.

McFly

When I was younger, I could never imagine loving 4 guys as much as I do now, these guys are 4 of the most amazingly talented and nicest guys you could ever lay your eyes upon. Everyone has bad day, no matter who they are and it's always nice to have something to cheer you up and for me, that comes in the form of four guys, more commonly known as being McFly!

"The world would be a lonely place, without the one that puts a smile on your face"

The goosebumps I get from listening to this band is insane, the intense feelings of absolute love gets me every time. When I really take the time to sit and listen to them I often become an emotional wreck. To have a band like this in my life, that can cheer me up at any moment and make any day amazing, no matter what, it one of the greatest thing I could ever ask for.

"The Heart Never Lies" is by far one of my favourite songs in the entire world. The feelings this songs gives me are incredible and the huge cheesy grin that appears on my face without even noticing.

When McFly first came out, I absolutely adored them (although I was hurting from the Busted split) and I can honestly say (even though i never thought it was possible) I love McFly more than anything, more than I ever thought I could. I used to thing that I loved them on a huge scale, but that doesn't compare to my love for them today.

I still remember that moment in Manchester Apollo, the moment my life changed. This moment changed everything, the moment James Bourne stepped onto the stage and began to sing, it was truly amazing, but it was nothing compared to when he opened his mouth and started singing Year 3000, and that was certainly nothing in comparison to the tour we have just witnessed…the McBusted tour!

Being a girl who loved Busted and adores McFly, the announcement of this tour was possible one of the greatest moment of my life, to have been able to witness this more than once aswell was just absolutely amazing

I can't ever possibly thank the boys for how much they have helped me through life, how much they are there for me without even knowing it…we've just welcomed in a new era, the era of the galaxy crashers (galaxy defenders and wedding crashers…do you get it?) And I really look forward to what happens next, I can't wait to see where McBusted take us and I can't wait for McFly's next album…McFly are forever, never forget that.

Taylor Swift

Taylor has been my favourite female artist for a long time, I connect with her music on so many levels. She is probably one of the most loving and caring people that the celebrity world will ever know. When reading some of the things she has done to help her fans, or just to help people in general, it often brings me to tears.

"And I don't know why but, with you I'd dance in a storm in my best dress, fearless"

Taylor gives me the courage in life that I often need to get me through. I know that if I had never found her then I would probably be such a different person. Her words really speak, louder than anything I've heard before and they really get into my brain.

She's so magical, she is everything any girl ever wants to be. Her music is magical, her tours are magical. This song "Long Live" is by far my favourite song…ever, this is a song that has really got me through some hard times in life.

Music is a lot to most people, to me…music is pretty much everything.

These are just two of my favourites, I love so many more artists and bands, but these two are in a way two of the biggest loves of my life.

Artists

McFly
McBusted
Taylor Swift
One Direction
Ed Sheeran
Foo Dighters
Demi Lovato
5 Seconds of Summer
The Vamps

Albums

When an album first comes out by a band or artist that I love, I often spend a lot of my time playing that album on repeat, it drives so many people insane. At the moment I'm still loving Taylor Swifts Red album, Wonderland is still by far one of my favourite albums. I actually recently fell back in love with My Chemical Romance, so at the moment I cannot stop listening to The Black Parade also, Foo Fighters album Echoes Silence Patience & Grace and Ed Sheerans newest album X.

Genre

I'm a pop girl, I love pop, the smile it brings to my face is insane, I'm a bit of a rocker deep down, but pop is my truest of loves.

I adore music, it's helped me so much throughout my life…who do you love listening to?

1989

So yesterday was Taylor Swifts yahoo world wide live stream and congratulations to her for making history by being the first to do it.

Now, I consider myself to be a huge Taylor fan. I have followed her through her career, through all of the different era's and now it's time to say goodbye to the Red era…BUT! We get to welcome in the 1989 era!

Taylor had so many surprises for us lucky fans within her live stream yesterday and if you watched i am sure you will already know.

First Taylor announced a new song called Shake it off and it was completely different to anything she has ever done before. Now Taylor is more commonly known for being a country singer but she has always had a hint of pop in there too and often her music has been related to various different genres. What I love is that she doesn't write her songs to fit into a specific genre, she writes them and whatever genre they are then they are.

No matter how much you think her music changes and grows you have to understand that she is still young and she is still growing as a person, so her music is going to go in various different directions.

Taylors songs always mean something to her, they always have hidden meanings and they are truly songs from the heart and it doesn't matter what genre her music fits into because they are still her songs. At the end of the day they are still words from her brain.

Following the announcement of her amazing new song we also found out that she was actually releasing a new album called 1989.

Along with this album will come 13 Polaroid's which I'm quite excited about. Not every single one will be the same, so we could all end up with completely different ones and it seems like with that we're getting more of an insight into Taylor's life. As well as that on the deluxe edition of the album there will be 3 extra tracks and usually they would be songs but this time they aren't. They are actually phone voice notes back from when she was coming up with the songs, so they might be really random but they could also be really personal too and I think it's amazing that these will be released onto the album too.

Now Taylor has said that this album is her favourite album and as shocked as I was when I heard the first song I now absolutely adore it and I adore her, so I know that if she loves the album that I am absolutely going to love it too.

I think we all knew that she was going to be announcing her new album during this live stream but one thing I didn't expect was for a new music video. Now again, this is very, very differnet to any music video Taylor has ever released but that doesn't mean it isn't good. In fact I loved it, it's so fun and different, very, very different. If i was going to write a song and release a music video I would have done it the exact same way!

Taylor you have really outdone yourself this time and guys if you're a Taylor fan and you don't like this new song then don't worry because Taylor will just shake it off!

Stillia

Yesterday I had the great pleasure of going down to The Red Lion located in Sutton, St Helens to photograph a band. The band in question was Stillia, a local and recently signed band whom are looking for a photographer to travel to their gigs across England and photograph them.

So naturally we went along, took some pictures and here's a little bit of what we got.

I wish the band all the best on all future endeavours and I hope to work with them in the future.

Stakeout Festival 2014

So much has been happening recently, and I’m just so excited! It gives me faith in my career when things like this happens, it gives me faith in people to know they appreciate my help and actually want me to be involved in something huge! I was so excited about this that I absolutely had to post for the second time today.

A few months ago, both my boyfriend and myself were working at an M.S charity event at Osqua’s Bar/Event space in Liverpool, when a man named Paul Lloyd approached us. He owns a Liverpool based company called Unsigned City whom works with unsigned musicians and bands around the local area, helping them gain gigs and much needed promotion. After talking for a while we exchanged contact information and kept in touch and actually all became good friends.

We are now working alongside Paul to create a Liverpool based music festival called Stakeout festival. This will be taking place on the 28th and 29th of November and will be spread across 5 unique venues across Liverpool, consisting of a growing list of amazing bands. We are aiming to provide unsigned musicians and bands the promotion they require on a large scale, as well as providing a platform in front of a large audience, including talent scouts.

I personally am in charge of bringing together the best possible videography team to film the event to allow us to create an amazing promotional video for future stakeout festivals. As well as this I will be photographing the event, this may include being on the stage to get the required shots

I am absolutely blown away already by what’s been happening with this festival, with all of the bands messaging us asking to be involved, it’s just insane that I am a part of something that hopefully will end up the biggest festival in Liverpool, or if not the biggest just very successful!

When I look back to the last few months I cannot help but think about how different life would be right now if we had never attended the charity event. It’s crazy how one small moment can change everything. How one conversation with a stranger, something that seems so insignificant at the time can actually impact your life so much

I cannot wait to see what the festival bring us and I couldn’t ask for a better team of people to be working with. We are going to face so many obstacles and challenges along the way and do you know what? I can’t wait because we will overcome every single one of them and this festival will be amazing!

I’m going to continue posting about my progress and the progression of the festival, especially for those of you interested in attending

It’s time to have a stakeout!
