The Blog-tember Challenge: Day 9 | Rome

When in Rome, live as the Romans do; when elsewhere, live as they live elsewhere.
- Saint Ambrose

Friday, Sept. 9: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be? Why?

If I could go anywhere in the entire world it would be Rome. In fact though, I am going to Rome very soon, and I don't think that I have ever been so excited about something in whole life.

For as long as I can remember I've had the biggest fascination with Rome, although I'm not sure where it came from. Maybe it's the history of the city, I absolutely adore walking through museums or runs etc and learning about their history, you can have fun learning! I've never known a city to have such amazing architecture  the city just screams "explore me" and I cannot wait to do just that! I can't wait to be standing in awe in front of the colosseum, walking through the vatican or through the catacombs, everything in this city seems incredibly divine.

There's a Roman saying "Even a lifetime isn't enough time to see Rome" and I don't think i've ever believe a quote so much in my life. Rome is certainly one of the worlds most fascinating cities, and I'm truly excited to have the opportunity to visit the city.

A lovely walk along the canal

I'm going to keep this post short and sweet because, well...pictures speak louder than words.

Around a month ago my sister and I took our dog Coco for a lovely walk along the canal at the front of my mums house. I love the amazing things you can find when you really look, when you really take notice, all of the hidden places you can find that you probably wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't really looked.

I love the fact that you can still get high quality photos just from your phone...a photographers best camera is the one that they have with them.

Until next time

My Biggest Dreams: Swim With Sharks

3. Swim with Sharks

"Many people continue to think of sharks as man-eating beasts. Sharks are enormously powerful and wild creatures, but you're more likely to be killed by your kitchen toaster than a shark!"
- Ted Danson

Everyone has dreams, I probably have too many, too many to actually fulfil  but one thing it for sure…I'll give it my best shot.

I love Sharks, I think they are one of the most wonderful, beautiful and misunderstood creatures alive today. I love how they are like the king of the ocean, but in every single film you watch, they are made to be the bad guy, always made to be the bad guy.

Most people want to swim with Dolphins, I want to swim with Sharks, I think it would truly be a memorable and magical experience. I'd like to swim with Sharks at Typhoon Lagoon, or even cage dive with them, just so long as i get to experience this beautifully remarkable creature up close, I honestly don't care how this happens.

"Sharks are beautiful animals, and if you're lucky enough to see lots of them, that means that you're in a healthy ocean. You should be afraid if you are in the ocean and don't see sharks."
-Sylvia Earle

I do have one problem, one fear I will have to overcome before this dream could ever become a reality, that problem is my inability to swim. I've never knew how to swim, I had bad experiences when learning to swim when I was younger and I now have a fear of swimming, a bit of an anxiety if you will, something that I need to overcome.

Sharks are remarkable, they are beautiful and misunderstood and one day I will swim with them!

Until next time!

You May Now Kiss The Bride...

On Friday the 5th September, I was asked to join a lovely couple on their wedding day as their photographer. The wedding took place in a small but beautiful reception room located in the St Helens Registry Office. This wasn't a large wedding but that didn't make it any less beautiful…

The room rose for the entrance of the beautiful bride who appeared linking arms with her father with tears of joy falling from her eyes. The whole atmosphere of the room completely changed, the room was filled with some of the biggest smiles I've ever seen.

The ceremony was beautiful and following this we moved onto another location where the bride and groom were to celebrate their wedding with a small selection of their family. Before they sat down to eat, we took the couple across the road to a spot that overlooked some beautiful rolling hills that were covered in fine mist, which provided the perfect backdrop for some beautifully taken wedding photographs.

Congratulations to the beautiful bride and groom and may the future hold happiness for you both

Day Four: Dresses, Dresses, and more Dresses!

Sept 4th: Pick a fashion trend you love and a fashion trend you hate. Win us over!

To be honest with you, I don't class myself as being very fashionable, unless you class fashionable as being what you feel comfortable in. I don't really follow fashion trends, I just wear what I want to wear and what I feel comfortable in and that is usually cute floral, or none floral, dresses. I just love cute flowery things I guess, I love those flowery crowns, the kind most people wear to festivals, they are so cute. As for shoes? Brogues have got to be the best kind of shoes, they can really make an outfit something special. Another thing I love, usually during winter, is a cute pare of boots

My biggest fashion no go is animal print, I hate it, there's just something about it i really don't like and you will never find any of that in my closet.

What about you guys? What's your favourite fashion trend? I wonder if it's anything like mine or completely different…

Books! The best weapons in the world

Books are truly amazing things and I absolutely adore reading, although quite admittedly I haven't actually done it for a long, long time.

Reading used to be something that would help me a lot. It was a way for me to tune out of the world. I'd turn everything off, relax and it would help me to forget life problems. I love different worlds they can transport you to, the different people they introduce you to, making you think you've known them for years. The fact that books can cause you to fall in love with a character when you know they are not real…boys in books are the best kind and should be real, why aren't they real?

I've found some really amazing books out there and I love the feeling of not being able to put a book down, no matter how tired you may be, because the book is so amazing.

The magic held within a book is something of a different world. It's insane where out imagination can take us to when reading. We can travel across county, worlds even time and space. Someones worlds can help you to set the scene and the people, which often results in you imagining this story like it's real life in your mind, like it's a past memory.

I miss the nights of curling up with a good book.

So I came up with a plan…I am going to start reading again and I am really excited about this! I feel it will help me to sleep, it will relax me before bed and might actually make me more of a stress free person. I'm going to read every night, trying to read at least one book every week and I can't wait to get stuck in. I might even start posting reviews on the book I have read, I'm not entirely sure about that yet but I will keep you informed.

So the first book I will be reading (as soon as it arrives) will be Giovanna Fletchers "You're the one that I want" and I must admit, I am super exited to start reading this book, I have wanted to for so long! Hopefully it will arrive soon.

Reading is a wonderful thing, there's so much magic held within them, don't let it go to waste!

Moore Nature Reserve

Today was an absolutely beautiful day for photography.

I visited my grandmother today, I don't get to do that very often and it meant an extremely early morning. Following this my mother, sister and myself then had time to waste before picking up my brother from the train station once he had returned from work so we decided to take an adventure to Moore Nature Reserve.

The weather was absolutely divine, apart from the occasional little spit of rain, but that didn't stop us having a wonderful time. We sat on a bench, eating a little picnic enjoying the beautiful views, which was just lovely.

I hope the future brings more memories like this, it's lovely to enjoy the weather (when it's not too hot) and to take in some beautiful scenery

With weather like this, why not pick up your camera, click the shutter and see what you get?

Pictures speak a thousand words

I think Liverpool is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, the architecture is absolutely amazing to look at and not a lot of people really notice it.

 here's a few reasons why…
